Delta County Civil Docket Searches
Begin with re:SearchTX for case, filing, document-text, or hearing searches. Apply the location or county filter, then narrow by case category, type, filing date, case number, or party information. The statewide portal is an additional layer. Delta County says its own local records are not currently in a searchable county database, so a blank statewide result is not conclusive.
Before searching, decide whether the matter belongs to the county-clerk function, district-clerk function, or Justice Court. The same elected Delta County/District Clerk office houses the county and district functions, but the file families remain distinct. A clear request names the court, cause number if known, filing date range, and the exact docket sheet or document wanted.
- Identify county civil, probate, district civil or family, or justice civil jurisdiction.
- Search the statewide portal by case, filing, text, or hearing.
- Filter for Delta County and use the narrowest known details.
- Open the event history and note document status, date, and court.
- Call, visit, mail, or fax the clerk if the record is absent or a certified copy is needed.
Two Delta Civil Docket Functions
The Delta County/District Clerk is one public office with two record functions. The county side handles county civil matters, probate, guardianship, mental commitments, and listed occupational-license work. The district side handles district civil actions, divorce and family matters, Attorney General matters, occupational licenses, and tax suits.
This distinction changes the search path, even when both routes lead to the same courthouse office. Ask for the county or district side by name. It reduces the risk of receiving a no-record answer from the wrong index. The clerk is at 200 W. Dallas Avenue, Cooper, and the main number is 903-395-4400.
Delta Civil Dockets: What They Show
The official statewide field guide supplies the safe field inventory because no public, party-redacted Delta civil sample was found. A civil docket can identify the court, category, filing date, parties, counsel, and a sequence of events. When a document is offered, the event may also show pages, price, and status. These fields locate activity but do not replace the filed order.
| Cause Number | The clerk-assigned identifier, shown as CAUSE NUMBER when requesting the record. |
|---|---|
| Location and Type | Court location, case category, and case type. |
| Filed Date | The date the civil case began in the system. |
| Parties and Attorneys | Roles, names, aliases when listed, and counsel. |
| Events | Date, event type, comments, and linked-document indicators. |
| Document Data | Pages, price, and status where the portal exposes them. |
Delta Civil Docket Search Modes
The statewide dashboard offers four useful routes: Cases, Filings, Text in Documents, and Hearings. Case search works best when a cause number or party detail is known. Filing search can narrow a known document event. Text search may help locate words in eligible documents, while hearing search focuses on settings. Access and document availability can vary.
The re:SearchTX dashboard is shown in the successful manifest capture below. It is the main online starting point documented for Delta civil records.
The visual shows why search mode and filters matter. It does not prove that all Delta County civil filings or documents are present. Save the court and event details, then confirm critical entries with the clerk.
Cases on Delta Civil Dockets
Delta County civil court dockets cover several record families, and jurisdiction determines the custodian. The county materials identify these groups without claiming that every document in each file is public online. Municipal courts are not the route for ordinary civil damages cases.
- County civil matters and probate cases.
- Guardianship and mental-commitment records.
- District civil, tax-suit, and title-to-land matters.
- Divorce, family, and Attorney General matters.
- Justice Court civil claims up to $20,000, evictions, and small-claims-type cases.
The 62nd Judicial District Court has general civil jurisdiction described by official sources, including certain divorce, title-to-land, and election-contest work. Confirm the assigned court for the exact case.
Delta Probate Docket Clerk Route
Probate is a county-side civil route in Delta. The official probate page directs filings to the County/District Clerk at the courthouse. Posted submission hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Probate docket entries can point to applications, inventories, orders, or account activity, but access may depend on the document and case. Ask for the docket sheet or a named filing. If certification is needed, say so before the clerk quotes a charge. Do not treat an online event label as the text of the underlying order.
Delta Civil Docket Hearings
A civil event may be a filing, motion, conference, hearing, trial, or order. The last visible event is not always the disposition. A motion entry shows that something was filed; a ruling requires the signed order or reliable clerk confirmation. A hearing row should be checked for court, date, time, setting type, and later changes.
Delta has no confirmed local all-civil PDF calendar comparable to its criminal lists. Use the hearing search in re:SearchTX, then confirm through the clerk or assigned court. The county’s general calendar is for government events and must not be confused with a judicial schedule. Resets and continuances should be confirmed from a new entry or court order.
Delta Civil Docket Activity
The FY 2025 OCA county report recorded 10 Delta county civil cases active pending at the start, 18 added, 12 disposed, and 16 active pending at year end. These are aggregate reporting categories for the period ending August 31, 2025, not a directory of cases.
Justice Court reported a separate civil universe: 117 starting active pending, 114 added, 163 disposed, and 63 ending active pending. Those totals should not be merged with county or district civil dockets.
Delta Civil Docket Searches and Copies
Delta posts a $5-per-name-per-court written-record search charge. That is not a quote for a certified copy. Inspection, an ordinary paper or electronic copy, certification, and a written name search are different services. State law contains clerk fee categories, but the exact total depends on the record and current local practice.
Ask the clerk to confirm the charge, delivery method, payment method, and estimated turnaround before sending a request. No Delta-specific civil turnaround was found. The clerk page lists fax 903-395-2178, but acceptance and payment terms for a faxed request should be checked first. A narrow request is easier to locate and price.
Who Can See Delta Civil Dockets
Civil docket information may be public while a linked filing is sealed, redacted, or restricted. Family, guardianship, mental-commitment, probate, and protected personal data require record-specific review. Ask for the public docket sheet or a redacted portion when a full document cannot be released. A portal omission does not establish that a record is sealed.
Available channels are re:SearchTX, the County/District Clerk counter and phone, written search, mail, and fax after confirming acceptance. No general civil email form or local all-civil PDF list was found. Direct the request to the court clerk, not the sheriff or a general county records inbox.
Key Rules:
Texas court records policy explains that Rule 12 governs non-case judicial records, while case files follow other court-record authority.
Texas Government Code Chapter 51 provides district-clerk duties and fee categories.
Local Government Code Chapter 118 contains county-clerk copy and certification categories.
A useful request identifies the court, cause number, record type, date range, preferred format, and whether certification is needed. Ask for a written basis if access is denied, and use the appeal or court process that applies to that record.
