Delta County Criminal Docket Searches
Start with the official Delta County misdemeanor docket index for county-level settings. It is a set of dated PDF links, not a database that searches every case by name. The page separates misdemeanor, arraignment, pre-trial, and review dockets. For felonies, use the 8th Judicial District docket page. Check the label and date before opening a PDF.
A full Delta County criminal docket search may also require re:SearchTX or direct help from the Delta County/District Clerk. The statewide system offers case, filing, text, and hearing searches when a record is integrated and eligible. Criminal coverage has limits, so call or visit the clerk when a PDF or state result is missing.
- Choose the county misdemeanor, district felony, or lower-court path.
- Select the right docket type and date on the official page.
- Use the case or cause number to identify the entry.
- Read any cancellation, correction, or moved-setting notice.
- Ask the clerk for the docket sheet or filed order when needed.
Delta County Misdemeanor Docket PDFs
Delta County uses date-specific documents for misdemeanor settings. A name-only search may miss the right list, while the setting month and docket type point to a likely PDF. The index can also carry notices when a setting is canceled or its cases move. Treat the live county index as the current source.
The PDF is a schedule view, not the full criminal history. Motions, signed orders, and final judgments can remain in the clerk’s file. If an expected case is absent, contact the clerk instead of treating the omission as a dismissal. Delta County gives no universal current-through date for the full index.
Delta Criminal Dockets: What They Show
The observed Delta felony layout identifies the 8th Judicial District Court, a felony docket date and time, and row-level information. Some headings are abbreviated. A docket entry is a locator and status marker, not a complete account. The allegation is not a judgment, and a cost field is not necessarily the current amount due.
| Case No. | The clerk-assigned identifier, such as CAUSE NUMBER. |
|---|---|
| Party | The person listed in the matter; the entry itself makes no finding. |
| Attorney/Bondsman | Counsel and bond-provider information when supplied. |
| Action | The court action or setting, including the observed PRE-TRIAL label. |
| Offense | The alleged charge category, not proof of guilt. |
| Passed and Cost | Status and money fields that need clerk confirmation. |

The county’s felony docket capture shows why the header comes first. The official 8th District source identifies the court and supplies dated files. This manifest image records that source page without republishing private row data.
The image reinforces the safe workflow: verify the court, docket date, and file label before reading a row. Since the 8th District is multi-county, do not infer the hearing place from its general contact page. Confirm location with the clerk if the PDF is unclear.
Delta Criminal Case Docket Stages
A Delta criminal docket develops through settings and filings. Local labels include arraignment, pre-trial, review, show cause, jury or bench trial, and MTR/MTP on reset materials. Arraignment addresses the charge and plea process. Pre-trial can concern motions, discovery, or case management. A review docket marks a later status check. The exact purpose comes from the notice or order.
Docket flow: Filing › Arraignment › Pretrial › Plea or Trial › Disposition › Sentencing
A filed motion does not mean it was granted. “Passed,” “reset,” or “continued” signals a changed setting, not a dismissal. Get the signed order when the result controls a future appearance.
Delta Criminal Docket Reset Procedure
Delta County publishes a criminal reset request form that asks for the cause number, current date and time, reason, requested setting, signatures, and judge order. Its choices include pre-trial, show cause, jury or bench trial, and MTR/MTP. The last abbreviation should not be expanded without court confirmation.
For a represented person, counsel obtains the form, secures the required signatures, and e-files it for judicial action. A person without counsel contacts the clerk, who may send a form or set an appointment. A request is not an approved reset until the required process is complete.
Missed setting: Delta says the former one-week grace period is gone. Its procedure warns that bond forfeiture and warrant consequences may follow. Contact the court and counsel at once.
Delta County Criminal Docket Courts
The Delta County criminal docket is divided by offense level. The unified County/District Clerk office performs distinct functions. Its county side keeps constitutional county-court misdemeanor records. Its district side keeps felony records for the 8th Judicial District. The county’s 62nd Judicial District connection is civil and is not the routine felony route.
| Matter | First source | Fallback |
|---|---|---|
| County misdemeanor | Misdemeanor PDF index | County clerk function |
| District felony | 8th District PDFs | District clerk function |
| Class C or traffic | JP or city court | Lower-court clerk |
| Appeal | Trial-court file | Sixth Court of Appeals |
State the court level, case number, and date range when requesting help. That keeps the unified office from having to guess which function holds the record.
Delta Criminal Docket Counts
The OCA FY 2025 report gives context, not a case list. From September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025, Delta’s constitutional county court reported 110 criminal cases active pending at the start, 106 added, 106 disposed, and 101 active pending at year end.
Justice-court criminal totals are a separate reporting universe. They cannot be compared as if they were county misdemeanor or felony docket counts. Aggregate data shows workload, not any person’s result.
Delta Criminal Payment Is Not Access
The clerk page links a criminal fine payment service and says a case number is required. That route is for payment, not a complete Delta County criminal docket search. It may help once the case is known, but it cannot establish whether a case exists or show the full filing history.
“Court Cost” in a felony row also may not equal the current balance. Fines, costs, bond matters, credits, and later orders can differ. Confirm money due with the clerk. Keep docket lookup, document purchase, copy fees, and payment as separate tasks.
Delta Criminal Docket Access Rules
Juvenile information, expunged material, sealed records, and protected identifiers may be withheld or omitted. A blank state result or missing Delta PDF is not proof that no filing exists. Ask the Delta County/District Clerk whether a public docket sheet or redacted portion can be supplied.
Channels include county PDF indexes, re:SearchTX where coverage permits, the clerk counter at 200 W. Dallas Avenue in Cooper, the main line at 903-395-4400, and a written search. Delta posts a $5-per-name-per-court written search charge. Mail or fax acceptance and turnaround were not confirmed, so ask first.
Key Rules:
Texas Family Code §58.008 limits access to juvenile material.
Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A governs expunction procedures and dissemination limits.
Texas judicial-record policy distinguishes Rule 12 non-case records from case files held by clerks.
For a written request, identify the court, cause number if known, date range, and exact item. Ask for the docket sheet, filing, order, or judgment by name. The sheriff is not the custodian for Delta criminal court files.
