Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the results. Delta County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email messages are retained as needed to prepare a response. They remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers automatically receive certain technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They help show how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine this traffic information. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Delta County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general directions to Delta County court records held by the Delta County/District Clerk, trial courts, justice or municipal courts, and re:SearchTX. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Delta County/District Clerk, Texas courts, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select targeted advertising. That tracking occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may nevertheless be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected information. No internet system is completely secure, however, and an absolute guarantee against unauthorized access cannot be made.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor has provided information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Texas privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights concerning personal data. The Texas Public Information Act governs covered public bodies, while Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses public access to non-case judicial records. Those access laws do not convert this private site into a government custodian. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. Any revised version will be posted here with its new effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
